issue #3 - November 2003 - opt-in list building & getting free publicity in ezines.
Hi again,
it´s time again for the TheJungleMarketer´s newsletter.
I don´t know if you´ve already noticed the changes:
TheJungleMarketer´s got a totally new look !
I´ve spent most of my marketing time this month (which is
only a few hours per week) in redesigning my pages to look
better, be easier to navigate and hopefully get a better
SE ranking.
I checked my ranking this morning and noticed that Google
had spidered the new site. Well - TheJungleMarketer went
from total SE obscurity to #445 out of 450.000 competing
sites and 2.320 direct competitors, i.e. when you search
the term "internet marketing ezine" with quotes.
That doesn´t seem very exiting but when you consider that
my PR is still 0 and no incoming links are reported, it´s
a pretty cool result.
This month I´ll spend some effort in finding link partners.
I´m curious to see where I´m going to get.
Hey - it´s my first attempt to achieve good rankings in SE´s.
Take a look at the new
TheJungleMarketer internet marketing ezine.
Your honest opinion would be appreciated.
Here are today´s hot topics. I hope you enjoy
reading them and will benefit greatly from.
# 1)
How you can tap into the lists of hundreds of ezine publishers
to get more subscribers, sell more products and get higher
SE rankings ... at no cost.
This method is so powerful, I wish I had started using it earlier.
# 2)
How write great ezine articles and how to use them to promote any
product, service, or affiliate program you choose in 5 easy steps.
ok now - here we go ...

Article # 1
How you can tap into the lists of hundreds of ezine publishers
to get more subscribers, sell more products and get higher
SE rankings ... at no cost.
by Guido W. Stiehle (TheJungleMarketer)
There´s a great place where you can find hundreds of thousands
of targeted prospects: email newsletters.
Many experts tell you to use ezine advertising to build your
list instead of advertising products directly.
But whatever kind of ad you chose, classified, sponsor, solo ..
in the end it´s just an ad.
Think about it: what´s your motivation to read an ezine ?
You are seeking information you can use in your business, right ?
Nowadays that we are flooded with advertisement from everywhere,
we are becoming more and more immune. It´s like we are building
a subconcious anti-ad firewall inside of us.
So even if you are reading an compelling ad, you know someone
paid for it and tries to sell something --> your defense goes up
and you become less likely to buy.
Ezine articles are different, they provide valuable content and
the reader doesn´t feel pitched when reading them.
With articles you can offer people solutions, help, tips and build
your reputation as an expert. When written in the way decscribed
below, the readers will go to visit your site because they are
interested in what more you have to say or to offer and you´ll be
building either a very targeted and responsive list or generating
presold visitors to your offer.
If you want to take advantage of one of today´s most powerful
free marketing methods ... you need to start writing articles.
Yes - it´s easy, even if you think you´re not a writer !
Look, three months ago I haven´t been a writer yet and I had to
learn how to do it. And guess what: you´re reading my very own
article now, so I know that if I can do it, you can too.
Aren´t convinced yet that ezine articles are a great promotion tool?
Way better than paid ezine ads?
Think again:
1) You want to build a responsive list of targeted subscribers.
if you do what most of those "listbuilders" out there do, you´d
advertise somehow like "hey you, come over here, join my list and
get this 197 dollar bonus package".
Don´t do this ! unless you want to get a hord of freebie seekers
who only ripp you off your resources but never will buy from you.
Provide valuable information through an ezine article written the
way described below and you´re going to generate a stampede of
highly interested visitors to your site that will subscribe to your
newsletter because they are eager to hear from you.
A list made of only 500 subscribers like these is worth 100 times
more than an unresponsive list of 10,000s.
2) The same applies to promoting your products (or affiliate links).
with ezine articles your are going to generate presold visitors
who are much likely to buy and your CR will increase dramatically.
Believe me, ezine articles are a great promotion tool
and it doesn´t cost you a dime to produce them.

Article # 2
How to write great ezine articles and how to use them to promote any
product, service, or affiliate program you choose in 5 easy steps.
I kept this very short ´cause it would require a lot of space to
explain each and every step in detail, but you can read the
full explanation at
Ezine Article Creator
Step 1:
Chose the product or service you want to promote.
Step 2:
Determine your "useful, but incomplete" approach.
Step 3:
Turn your approach into a tips list or tutorial.
Step 4:
Expand on each point to build your content.
Step 5:
Put on the finishing touches with the "five pillars."
Presto !
For more details, visit the link above.
I´ll be back before X-mas with
TheJungleMarketer´s last issue in 2003.
We´re going to take a look at how you can use ezine articles
to achieve better SE rankings and the number one mistake I
made in my first few articles (regarding SE rankings).
hint: almost every publisher is making this mistake !
Have a nice weekend and
Happy Thanksgiving to all US American subscribers.
